In 2016, when I presented a solo exhibition at the Pera Museum in Istanbul, I created several new works inspired by the museum's permanent collection of Anatolian Weights and Measures. Now I am thrilled to return to Pera Museum, only this time virtually. One of those projects, a multi-channel silent 3D animation titled Cloud Profiles: Weightless Measures will be included in the virtual film series "Measure of Human" curated by Ulya Soley. For the online exhibition I have created a new single-channel version with new algorithmically generated network sound by W. Brent and D. Cecchetto. It is a pleasure to work with Ulya again and I'm happy to share this work in Istanbul and online.

I am looking forward to spending the month of June in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where I am delighted to have been awarded a residency at the Santa Fe Art Institute. SFAI's residency theme for the year is "labor"—a long-standing interest of mine. I am anticipating a fruitful month developing work in this context, and in a landscape I love.
From January 2020 through November 2020, SFAI is bringing together artists, creative practitioners, content experts, and innovative thinkers from all over the world that consider what vitality, prosperity, and sustainability might look like beyond profit; to envision new systems for "making a living" that elevate all of humanity and infuse our world with freedom, compassion, and harmony; and that reflect the profoundly generative acts of labor.
I'm also looking forward to sharing my work for SFAI's monthly "Process" event on June 10. Stay tuned for details.

I am honored to have been selected as a workspace resident for 2020 at Harvestworks in New York City. I will be developing sound for my a work-in-progress video installation, Sensor Sensibility. I've been working with the phenomenal sound artist Marta Forsberg on this project and I'm excited for us to spend the year collaborating between NYC and Berlin.
Founded as a not-for-profit organization by artists in 1977, Harvestworks has helped a generation of artists create new works using technology. Our mission is to support the creation and presentation of art works achieved through the use of new and evolving technologies. Our goals are to create an environment where artists can make work inspired and achieved by electronic media; to create a responsive public context for the appreciation of new work by presenting and disseminating the finished works; to advance the art community's and the public's "agenda" for the use of technology in art; and to bring together innovative practitioners from all branches of the arts collaborating in the use of electronic media. We assist with commissions and residencies, production services, education and information programs, and the presentation and distribution of their work.

I'm delighted that the University of Michigan has extended my artist in residence for the full 2019/2020 academic year! I am continuing my work with a team of talented undergraduates from Computer Science, Engineering, and Art to develop a new version of "Anonymous Autonomous" in relation to my current research focus on "Artificial Ignorance."
I am being generously hosted by a partnership spanning the Institute for Research on Women and Gender (IRWG), the Center for Ethics, Society, and Computing (ESC), Stamps School of Art and Design, the School or Information, the School of Engineering, and the Robotics Institute.
